A rising roast

Founded by Alin Giriada and Andrius Valiauga, Brew Town Coffee Roasters is a coffee-roasting company that supplies goods and machinery to coffee shops. It started as a passion project and has grown into a successful business with coffees and teas from Colombia, Brazil, Ethiopia, Sumatra, Java and China.

Alin is one of the few Q Grader Instructors (professionals skilled in sensory analysis of coffee) in the world, and his partner, Andrius is a former barista champion and a veteran in the coffee industry. Together, they take a holistic approach to their business.

Alin says, "We envision a business model where farmers, roasters, and coffee shops are partners, rather than mere suppliers." This model ensures that "everyone involved receives fair compensation and recognition for their contribution."

Brew Town is always looking to grow by collaborating or finding new farmers and coffee exporters. Alin says the role of community and customer support has been integral for the business, “My favourite thing about working in Brew Town is the opportunity to create relationships throughout the coffee supply chain. From sourcing beans directly from farms to collaborating with coffee shop owners, every day presents a chance to build connections.”

Demand for high-quality coffee is increasing, and consumers are becoming more selective about their choices as Alin says, “Today's consumers aren't just looking for any coffee; they're seeking a full sensory experience. It’s a promising trend!”
