  • How investment markets got to their current point and attempts to answer the question all of us in the Investment World are asked every day; "How did all you clever people not spot what was coming?"
  • He identifies the factors needed for a Market Recovery and highlights the negative factors which we hear about in the media every day. Interestingly, there are some positive indicators under the radar of most investors which are outlined here.
  • Pramit highlights how stock-markets often recover faster than we think and for no apparent reason. He uses examples to point out that a market recovery can take place well ahead of an economic recovery.
  • Finally, he shares his Investment Themes for the years ahead.

Pramit is responsible for developing and managing the Bloxham suite of funds and has a long and successful record in managing investments.   His actuarial background gives him particular understanding of matching assets to investors’ risk profiles.

Over the past decade he headed up the investment operations of both Friends First and Hibernian and won a MoneyMate Fund Manager of the Year Award in 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999.

Pramit is a regular contributor to the Sunday Times and the Sunday Independent has described him as ‘the fund manager that many financial professionals put their own money with’.

Jim uses his extensive and successful experience in farming in many countries to give some insight into the factors that will drive returns in farming in the years ahead.

  • He points out that global demand for food is increasing and that this trend will continue for many years
  • In addition to the demand side, there are supply constraints which are detailed by Jim.
  • Both of the above factors combine to provide an opportunity for well-managed and established farm enterprises across the world.
  • Jim has put together a Fund to capture this opportunity for Irish investors and he speaks about the Fund which will invest into proven farm enterprises worldwide. he outlines some of the enterprises currently being considered for investors.

Jim is a well known figure within the Irish farming community. He has had a lot of success in the area of investing in international farm enterprises with current initiatives in New Zealand, Serbia, United States and Argentina to name a few. The Irish led Argentinian grain operation has just released impressive results showing returns of 80% to investors over the last two years.
