FBD Certified Repair Centre
The objective of our Certified Repair Centre is to provide the best possible repairs with the best possible service.
Key Benefits of CRC (available under private motor vehicle policies only)
- Repairs to your car will be prioritised and carried out to the highest industry standards.
- You do not have to take time off work or out of your schedule to meet with a motor assessor.
- All parts fitted during repairs are original manufacturer parts.
- Repairs are guaranteed for 5 years.
- We pay a large part of your excess or we give you a hotel voucher (the amount you pay toward any claim for accidental or malicious damage to your vehicle).*
- Our CRC will organise a courtesy car if required.
- If you are unable to drive to the CRC, collection of your damaged vehicle and delivery of a courtesy car can be arranged.
- Your policy with FBD will automatically transfer to the courtesy car (no extra paperwork involved or extra premium charged).
- Our CRC will keep you informed with regular repair updates.
- Your car will be cleaned when repairs are complete.
- The invoice will be issued direct to FBD and payment will be made to the garage less your excess.
How It Works
- Should you choose to have your vehicle repaired with one of our Certified Repair Centre’s, the process should cause as little hassle as possible for you. We’ll outline the steps generally involved:
- Contact FBD and confirm your wish to avail of our CRC. The FBD claims handler will transfer you through to the nearest appropriate CRC.
- Our CRC will then arrange for a suitable day & time for you to bring your vehicle into them (if you are unable to drive to our CRC, collection of your damaged vehicle can be arranged).
- On receipt of the damaged vehicle, our CRC will immediately assess the damage and draft an immediate quote and forward same to FBD’s appointed independent motor engineer for approval.
- Our CRC can organise a courtesy car if required (policy limits apply).
- Upon agreeing repair costs with the motor engineer, our CRC will contact you to confirm that it is in order to commence repairs.
- As soon as you give approval for repairs to commence, our CRC will proceed to getting your car repaired and back on the road as soon as possible.
- Our CRC will arrange for you to collect your vehicle at your earliest convenience and forward an invoice for payment directly to FBD.
*This is a current promotional offer. Excesses vary depending on your policy.
N.B.: You will be required to pay your reduced excess (and VAT for those of you who are VAT registered) on collection of your repaired vehicle.
